3. Reverse Curve Guards

Use surface tension to guide water around a curved surface and into the gutter while debris falls off. Can work in low-debris environments but struggles in high-rainfall events and heavy leaf fall — common problems in NSW.

4. Plastic / PVC Guards

The cheapest option. Degrades rapidly under NSW UV, cracks and warps with thermal cycling, and provides no fire protection. Suitable only as a very short-term measure.

• Birds and rodents: Completely excluded — no gap to enter through

• Aperture size: Match to your debris environment. Nearby eucalyptus? Choose a finer mesh

• Warranty: Look for products with 15+ year manufacturer warranties on materials
